WELCOME to the Carangelo Family pages. I'm Lori Carangelo, born 4/3/45 in New Haven, Connecticut and have resided in Santa Barbara and Palm Desert, California. As an avid researcher and author of several published books, I approached this family genealogy project as an expandable book project. Just Click on Carangelo Names at the top of this page to browse or print your Carangelo family tree, in book form (about 20 pages). The book begins with the earliest CARANGELO ancestor found so far, FABIO CARANGELO, born in 1764 at Cerreto-Sannita, in Benevento, Italy. FABIO’s children are the Great Grandpas and Great Grandmas of all Carangelos in the U.S. I’m a descendant of Great Grandpa MARIANO (also called MARIO) CARANGELO. Although I’ve been married, divorced, and widowed, I prefer my beautiful Italian maiden name, Carangelo, which means “dear angel.”

There is a registered star named "Carangelo," located 49 light years from Earth, in constellation Cepheus (The Crowned King).
