This 1972 2 BR 2 BA mobile home has gorgeous mountain and lush landscape views, but the interior was in total chaos. Rather than totally remodeling it, the object was to update some areas without spending any money except for paint and a few small enhancements.
The home had to first be cleared of years of collected clutter and furnishings that crowded each room. The selected remaining items were then cleaned, repaired, and re-arranged (staged) in a "design re-mix" in keeping with the "Palm Springs style" originally intended by the owner. Unfortunately, I did not take "Before" photos, just "After" photos (see below).

Beyond removing an overabundance of wall art, nails, screws and patching holes in paneling, the yellowed and damaged kitchen cabinets were refurbished and painted with Pure White Base latex; plastic knobs and pulls were replaced with chrome. Eventually the owner may texture and paint the walls in all rooms, but in the meantime, I transformed the yellowish stove hood by spray-painting it with Black "Appliance Paint" to match the kitchen appliances while the "Harvest Yellow" Dryer was spray-painted with White Appliance Paint to match the Washer.
The Master Bath had the old vanity-with-seat which I converted to a lower cabinet, doubling the under-sink storage space. I painted the cabinets in both bathrooms with Pure White Base latex and added gold knobs to match existing gold hardware to brighten up the Master Bath, and changed the discolored plastic knobs to chrome knobs in the main bathroom. A solution to the (male) owner's penchant for acquiring "stuff" was resolved by creating storage in the California Room (sun porch that he uses for an office/workshop) by adding file cabinets, bookshelves and such to eliminate clutter in the rest of the home.,,and by convincing the owner to allow a lot of "stuff" to find its way to a community garage sale, local charities as donations.
